The idea
The world doesn't need another hotel. It needs places that bring us together.
YAH is conceived as a place for people from different worlds to meet: entrepreneurs and artists, teachers and students, families and friends, thinkers and makers.
Set in forty hectares of inland Alentejo, it combines hospitality, private residences, retreats, masterclasses, wellbeing, food and community in one quiet place.
Where things stand
In development, and honest about it.
YAH is not yet open. The masterplan study by JDSA was completed in 2021, the municipal approval order for the rural tourism project was issued in January 2024, and the project is now moving from masterplan into detailed planning and financing.
There is no opening date yet. We will publish one the moment we have it, and registered guests, buyers and investors hear first.

The masterplan
An eco resort by design.
Low timber pavilions with wide shading roofs, placed between the cork oaks rather than instead of them. The masterplan study by JDSA, Julien De Smedt Architects, treats the land, its water and its trees as the starting point.
